In this week’s class I got to use Kahoot for the very first time. I couldn’t believe how easy it was! You don’t even need to have the app downloaded, you can just go to the website, and then you enter the game’s pin number, and then you enter your name or a nickname and boom you’re done! Obviously it was easier for the participants than it would be for the teacher because the teacher actually has to think of all the questions they want to use and then come up with different answers but Michael did say it was fairly easy to do too so that’s great! The experience with Kahoot was also super fun too! It did take me a few rounds to realize that you got more points depending on how fast you answered the questions, which was unfortunate cause had I known ahead of time maybe I would’ve won *wink, wink*. I think using Kahoot in a classroom would be really fun for students and it would help at getting them engaged with their learning. I also think the competition aspect can be very beneficial in getting students motivated to participate but it may be harmful at some points for students who are really competitive. I would definitely try and use this in my classroom form time to time as a fun assessment tool!

Later this week I am definitely going to try and make my own Kahoot game and see how it works!
