During class on October 5, we talked about teacher content on Instagram and Twitter and we even began discussing it for TikTok which is a somewhat newer app that has become extremely popular among younger generations. Michael, our Technology and Innovation professor, mentioned how he hadn’t seen any content or creators related to teaching so I thought I would share some accounts that I have seen.
@kenziiewenz teaches Kindergarten and she posts videos of her teaching her class through Zoom. I have included a link to her profile and also a couple of her videos.
@kenziiewenz thanks for all the kind words about teachers 💛 in case anyone wanted to stay on kindergarten TikTok here’s a lesson from today #onlineschool
@kenziiewenz make sure to thank a teacher today, or better yet buy them a coffee #teacher #teachertok #onlineschool
@cassie_stephens teaches art to elementary school students and she mainly showcases all of her homemade outfits that she wears to class. Her younger students probably love her outfits and I’m assuming it brings them a lot of joy. Below is a link to her account and also some of her videos.

@thatnewteacher posts a lot of content related to teaching, she posts tips, relatable and funny content, stories of some of her experiences with teaching and more! I believe she is an English teacher in middle school. Below, I have included a link to her account and a couple of her TikToks.

The last teacher related account I will be including is @sutherlandphys. Chris Sutherland is a Physics professor at the University of Southern California. His account is definitely more on the funny side rather than educational content but I thought I would include it because his TikToks make me laugh a lot. It’s nice to see a professor using and participating in an app that a lot of younger generations are using and also it’s cool to see that he is up to date with our humor. The link to his account is https://www.tiktok.com/@sutherlandphys?source=h5_m and below are some of his TikToks.
@sutherlandphys Face stretch man is a meanie
@sutherlandphys jk i’ll be supportive of whatever they chose as long as its physics
@sutherlandphys im tired
Another thing we talked about in class was resources where we can make our own graphics and how we can include them into documents, power points, our blogs, etc… It was mainly focused towards Microsoft software which I’ve never really used before. I grew up only using apple products. In grade 4 through grade 6 at my elementary school we each got our own Macbook that we got to use whenever it was computer time and then in grade 7 through 12 we got to bring them home every night and even during weekends. Due to always having a Macbook I am very familiar with Pages, Keynote, iMovie, and GarageBand because it is what I used for all of my school work and projects. In grade 7 I took a class called Animation Technologique which translates to Technological Animation, I got to practice using iMovie a lot and creating my own videos. I actually still have some of the videos, I will post them below.
Both of these videos were made by taking a picture on a camera every single time we moved the characters and then the pictures were uploaded onto iMovie and then it was edited!
I really enjoy using graphic resources and I am excited to experiment with new ones!
