One thing that I found really useful from class on Monday, October 19 was the screen casting because we have an assignment due on November 2 for our EPHE 310 class and the information given to us in class regarding screen casting is going to come in handy for this assignment because I wanted to make a project on Keynote and then screen record (screen cast) it and upload it onto iMovie so that I could then upload a voice over of me presenting my project.

Another thing that was talked about in class was different types of videos such as slow motion and time lapse. I wanted to share some videos that I have done in the past using these options. During the summer I got a puppy and he has really floppy ears so I wanted to see how they flop so I used the slow motion option on my phone, I have included a video of that below. I also have a more recent one of him trying his first ever puppuccino, a small cup filled with whipped cream, from Starbucks on Tuesday, October 20, which is in slow mo so I have included that one as well.

Also, recently TikTok introduced me to this new trend where you set up your phone and you video yourself on time lapse as a study method, this way since your phone is being used to film you, you can’t go on it to check your notifications, texts, social media apps, etc. because you don’t want to ruin the “aesthetic” of the video by stopping it to go on your phone. It is crazy how well this study method works for me. I am the type of person who can easily get distracted by my phone when I am working on assignments and being able to just use time lapse as a way to stop myself has been extremely helpful, and a bonus is you have a funny video to watch of yourself after you finish your work. I’ll include one of the videos I have done below.
